Road Naming Ceremony

It was a moment of pride and elation for the entire Cambridge Family in the morning of 8th March 2022. In recognition of the selfless service and contributions in the field of education, CFS’ Founder and Chairperson Late Smt. Sheila Verma (Aunty) was felicitated by having a Road named in her honour in V Block, Rajouri Garden.

The Road Naming Ceremony was attended by a large gathering of well wishers including SDMC Councillor Col (Retd.) B. K Oberoi, Former Mayor SDMC & Councillor Sh. Subhash Arya, Mr. Y. P. Purang, Chairman, CFS, Mr. K. L. Sobti, Dr. Anita Puri, Principal-cum-Manager, Teachers, students and residents from the area.

Farewell Class of 2022

The Class XII (2022 Batch) Farewell was held on Saturday, 12th March, 2022 in the School Auditorium. The event started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Dr. Anita Puri, Principal-cum-Manager and the senior teachers. This was followed by the final judgement round for selection of the coveted Mr. and Ms. Cambridge. Many students participated fervently and zealously in the event portraying a wide variety of talent including dance, singing and poem recitation. Dr. Puri presented Titles to several students who proved themselves a cut above the rest; Vanshika Tanwar (12B) – Ms. Congeniality, Sneha Gupta (12C) – The Pride of CFS, Dhruv Goel (12D) – Mr. Compassionate, Jasjot Singh Arneja (12D) – Mellifluous Voice and Pritha Ganguly (12A) – The Wordsmith. Similarly, titles like The Computer Wizard, Mr. Grandiloquent and many more were awarded to the students. All the students were also presented with the Mementos as a token of love and remembrance by Principal Ma’am. The Titles Well Dressed Boy and Girl were won by Shivam Malik (12D) and Leena Jog (12D) respectively. The Farewell ended beautifully by crowning Aditi Swaroop (12A) as Ms. Cambridge and Kartik Singh Bisht (12B) as Mr. Cambridge. 

Orientation Day – Class III

Every School aims at the holistic development of a child which is possible only when parents and teachers form a strong partnership. The Orientation Program ensures this very aspect of enhancing the child’s education system and environment. Keeping this in mind, the School organized an Orientation Program for the students and parents of Class III on Saturday, 19th March 2022, to familiarize them with the latest curriculum and assessment pattern for the upcoming Academic Session 2022-2023. The program commenced with a warm welcome to the parents followed by enlightening the audience with the vision of the school.

The session was conducted by the teachers of various subjects of Grade 3. Parents were addressed by showing a comprehensive Power Point Presentation which laid emphasis on the active involvement of parents in the upbringing of their wards and on active synergy among parents and teachers for the holistic development of the child.

The attendees were apprised of subject specific strategies which comprised of all the important elements like marks distribution, submission of assignments, goal setting along with an effective study schedule. They were also informed of various techniques by which their wards can retain concepts for a longer time.

The program came to a close with a question answer session in which the parents shared their doubts and queries.

CFS – Winner Zonal Cultural Trophy 2021-2022

A proud moment for the School. Cambridge Foundation School was awarded the Directorate of Education (GNCTD) Zonal Cultural Trophy 2021-2022 by the Deputy Director of Education, District West – A, Mr. Kailash Chand and the Deputy Director of Education, Zone-15, District West-A, Dr. Rakesh Rahi.

Free Covid-19 Vaccination Camp for Children of 12-15 Years

On Saturday, 26th March 2022, CFS in association with the NGO Voice of the Voiceless organized a Free Vaccination Camp for the children in the age group of 12 – 15 years. A Medical team under the supervision of Dr. Trivendra, Chief Medical Officer, Delhi University, visited the School and administered the Corbevax Vaccine to about 150 which included students of the School as well as the neighbourhood.

Orientation Day – Class IX

The Orientation Programme for Class IX was held on Saturday, 26th March, 2022 in the School Auditorium under the aegis of Principal-cum-Manager, Dr. Anita Puri. The purpose of the Orientation Programme was to apprise the parents and students of the curriculum of various subjects. A gamut of teachers acquainted the audience with a wide range of parameters associated with the overall assessment throughout the session. The parents were informed not only about curricular subjects but also about the relevance of co- curricular activities. Vivid and eye- catching Powerpoint Presentations were depicted on the stage by the concerned teachers enhanced comprehension and attention. The attendees were also informed about the School’s regulations, guidelines and infra-structure. The concept and functioning of the Atal Tinkering Lab and Artificial Intelligence and Art Integration was stressed upon. The parents and students were also informed in detail about the examination pattern and marking scheme of all the subjects.

Save Soil – Workshop on Soil Conservation

The School under the aegis of  Principal-cum-Manager Dr. Anita Puri, conducted a Save Soil awareness session in association with the Isha Foundation. Save The Soil is a Global movement initiated by Mystic Yogi Founder of Isha Foundation Sh. Jaggi Vasudev “Sadhguru”. The movement is an effort to address the degeneration of soil, by inspiring at least 3.5 billion people, which is 60% of the world’s electorate, to support long-term government policies to revitalize soil.(https://consciousplanet.org/). CFS has always been committed to global issues and in the same line various relevant events are planned. During the course of the Workshop Teachers were asked to urge all the students to write a letter to the Prime Minister  of India, about the degrading soil conditions in India., by submitting the hard copy to their respective teachers or upload the letter on the website also.
