Celebrating Janamashtami
The popular festival of Janamashtami to celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna was celebrated with great joy and religious fervour by the students of Class 2. The children presented colourful dances on music related to Lord Krishna’s birth which held everyone spellbound. The presentation is available on the School’s Facebook page.
Raksha Bandhan Celebrations
The children of Class 1 presented a speical programme on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan during the morning assembly on 17th August. The presentation included a small play bringing out the bond between brother and sister. This was followed by rhythmic dances on Raksha Bandhan related songs which were enjoyed by all.
Celebrating Independence Day
CFS celebrated our Nation’s 78th Independence Day with partriotic fervour and gaiety. The students of the primary classes presented a musical extravaganza during the morning assembly. The music and accompanying dances brought out the love and pride for our Nation with enthusiasm and joy. The programme beautifully amalgamted joy and respect for our freedom fighters and commenorated their sacrifices. Later, Manager Dr. Anita Puri, unfurled the National Flag. The ceremony conclude with the National anthem. The presentation was streamed live on the School’s Facebook page and was appreciated by all present.
Special Tree Plantation Campaign
On 9th August, under the able guidance of Manager, Dr. Anita Puri, and Principal Mr. J. Venkatesan, the students of the CFS Eco Club undertook to celebrate a special Tree Plantation Campaign in compliance with the directions of the Science & TV Branch, Directorate of Education. The campaing is an effort to rejuvenate Delhi’s depleting green cover. The students planted trees and shrubs in the School’s green area promoting awareness about protecting our environment.
Visit to Pradhanmantri Sanghralaya
On 9th August 2024 CFS organised a visit to the Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalaya for 44 students located at Teen Murti Marg, New Delhi under the Yuva Tourism programme. The Sangrahalaya, also known as the Prime Ministers’ Museum, is dedicated to showcasing the lives, contributions, and legacies of all the Prime Ministers of India. The entrance to the museum was marked by a large mural depicting all of India’s Prime Ministers, symbolizing their collective contribution to the nation. The staff at the entrance was courteous and provided clear instructions on how to navigate the museum. The museum is divided into several galleries, each dedicated to a particular Prime Minister or significant era in India’s history. The galleries are organized chronologically, starting from Jawaharlal Nehru and progressing through the tenure of subsequent Prime Ministers.One of the standout features of the Sangrahalaya is the use of modern technology, including interactive displays, digital archives, and multimedia presentations. This technology brought to life the stories and achievements of each Prime Minister, making the experience both educational and engaging.
Visit to C K Biral Hospital, Punjabi Bagh
Students of Classes 11 and 12 Medical Stream, with faculty member Vibha Prabhakar, visited C. K. Birla Hospital on 9th August 2024. The purpose of the educational excursion was to interact with Doctors and the technical team of the hospital so as to create an awareness amongst the students about different departments and processes. Mr. Ashish Choudhary from the HR Department coordinated the entire visit in a most appreciable manner. During the visit the students interacted with Senior Neonatologist & Pediatrician, Dr. Poonam Sidana. The students also visited the Pharmacy, Operation theatre, Store department, Baby care area, Dialysis unit, haematology section etc. An informative session on hospital’s operations and patient care practices was given by Dr Gurpreet Singh Popli (Director-Anaesthesia & Critical Care). He answered queries of students and provided them with valuable insights into the medical profession. The visit provided the students with a deeper understanding of the health care system.
