Most Influential Educator Award 2023

Manager, Dr. Anita Puri was honoured with the Most Influential Educator 2023 Award in recognition of her relentless pursuit in improving the quality of education and specially in the field of Online and Hybrid Education which she handled with aplomb during the Covid phase as well as after the pandemic as and when the need arose. She was conferred with the prestigious award by Shri. Himanshu Gupta, (IAS), Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, in a function held on Saturday, 23rd December 2023 at the National Stadium, New Delhi.

CFS Wins 1st Prize in the Directorate of Education
State Level Qawwali Competition

Siddak Singh of IX D won the Silver Medal in the 2nd Inter State ITF Taekwondo Competition held at Central Academy International School as well as a Bronze Medal in the 18th National Matsogi-Do Championship, organized by the Kurushetra University.

Another moment of glory for the entire Cambridge Fraternity and Principal, Dr. Anita Puri. The entire school congratulated Dr. Puri, on being awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for her positive role in building Academic Excellence by the famous and esteemed Ansal University. The fraternity at the morning assembly noted her spirit and dedication to the cause of good education, a subject extremely dear to her. It is noteworthy that Professor Abhinay Muthoo, (Dean-Warwick London) Co-Director of Warwick Policy Lab also graced the occasion of the Award Ceremony.

Donation to the Prime Minister’s National Reilef Fund
Principal, Dr. Anita Puri, Manager, Ms. Meena Malik, along with a few students & members of the fraternity had the proud privilege of meeting the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Delhi, Shri Anil Baijal on 10th October 2018. Keeping up its tradition of contributing towards benign causes, the School donated a Cheque of Rs. 5,00,000/- towards the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund, a small contribution from a socially responsive institution. The Hon’ble Lt. Governor answered certain queries of the accompanying students with immense aplomb and encouraged them to contribute positively towards all social causes. His emphasis on imbibing good, moral & ethical values left an indelible mark on the impressionable minds. He thanked the School Management for their kind and noble gesture.

Award for Eminent Educationist
Dr. Anita Puri, Principal, Cambridge Foundation School was conferred with the “Eminent Educationist Award” for Outstanding Individual Achievements and Distinguished Services to the Nation at the 14th Global Excellence Awards and Green Ambassadors Summit organised by the Global Leaders Foundation at the Constitution Club of India, Rafi Marg, New Delhi on 4th October, 2017. The award was presented by the Chief Guest, Sh. Balmiki Prasad Singh, former Governor of Sikkim and Sh. Sandeep Marwah – A renowned International Media Personality. On behalf of the school, the ceremony was attended by Ms. Seema Punhani.

The Chief Guest in his speech spoke highly about teachers as the creators of future India. Mr. Sandeep Marwah described the 21st Century as an Ocean of challenges and Sky of opportunities. The programme was concluded by the Vote of thanks given by Sh. Ramesh Tripathi, Chairman of the Organisation.

National Teaching Excellence Award 2018
Principal Dr. Anita Puri, and members of the faculty were honoured with the National Teaching Excellence Award 2018, by the Confederation of Indian Universities on the occasion of the United Nations World Teachers Day on 5th October 2018. The Award ceremony at the India International Centre, was conducted with the collaboration of Indian Institute of Ecology and Environment and the National Institute of Cleanliness Education and Research.

Award for Principal Leadership for Outstanding Endeavors
Dr. Anita Puri, Principal, Cambridge Foundation School was felicitated with the “Life Empowerment Award for Principal Leadership for Outstanding Endeavours” at a function organized by Expressions India at the India International Centre, Lodhi Estate, New Delhi on 17th August, 2017. The presidential address was delivered by Dr. Jitendra Nagpal Sr. Consultant Psychiatrist at Moolchand Medcity. The award was presented by Chief Guest Hon’ble Mrs. Meenakshi Lekhi, MP, Lok Sabha. On behalf of the school, the ceremony was attended by Ms. Meena Bhatia and Ms. Anju Narang.

TERI Green Olympiad Appreciation Certificate
The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) acknowledged the endeavour in promoting a clean and green environment by consistently participating in the Green Environment Olympiad by presenting the School with a Certificate of Appreciation.

IAB Blind Empowerment Champions 2017
The School was honoured by the Indian Association for the Blind with the IAB Blind Empowerment Champions 2017 Award for outstanding excellence and amazing commitment towards voluntary contribution for the empowerment of persons with visual challenges.

Bharat Gaurav Award
Principal, Ms. Anita Puri, was felicitated with the coveted institutional and globally reputed “Bharat Gaurav Award” by the India International Friendship Society for her outstanding services, achievements and contributions in the field of education on 25th March 2017 at an august ceremony held at India International Centre, New Delhi. She received the award from Shri Shivraj V. Patil, Former Governor of Punjab and Administrator of the Union Territory of Chandigarh.

World Girl Child Education and Empowerment Award 2017
On the occasion of the International Women’s Day, 8th March, 2017, WAGE (Women’s Agency for Generating Employment) presented the WORLD GIRL CHILD EDUCATION AND EMPOWERMENT AWARD to our School with a view to motivating the students and teachers for promoting required skills among the students, especially in the area of cleaning, greening and environment.
The event was inaugurated by the world renowned spiritualist, Her Holiness Anandmurti Gurumaa.The function was graced by H. E. Ms. Lesego Ethel Motsumi, High Commissioner of Botswana and other Diplomats and Foreign Dignitaries.
The award was presented in the presence of national and international dignitaries at the Indian International Centre, Lodi Estate, New Delhi.
The various eminent speakers emphasized on the importance of being a woman and how they should be job givers and seekers in the coming years. They stressed upon the accessories of being a woman which are – Education, Martial Arts for self protection and safety, Earning a Livelihood and last but not the least Mental Stability.
The book ‘Environmental Education Manual and Handbook for Schools’ was also presented along with the award.

Celebrating Excellence CIE Award
Ms. Anita Puri, Principal, Cambridge Foundation School, was honoured with an Award of Excellence, for her outstanding contributions in the field of Education, by the Central Institute of Education Alumni Association at a glittering event held at Anath Nath Basu Auditorium, CIE, Department of Education, University of Delhi. The award was presented by Dr. Shakila T. Shamsu, OSD, Higher Education MHRD, Govt. of India.

Principal Anita Puri Wins the State Teachers Award 2016
Principal Ms. Anita Puri had the distinguished honour of having been bestowed with yet another coveted award, The State Teachers Award 2016 presented to her by the Government of NCT of Delhi on the occasion of Teacher’s Day on Monday, 5th September, 2016. The award was handed over to her by the Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, GNCTD, Shri Kapil Mishra at a glittering ceremony at the Thyagraja Sports Complex in the presence of the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Shri Manish Sisodia who exhorted teachers to walk that extra mile to build future citizens.
Ms. Soumya Gupta, the Director of Education congratulated the Principal on propelling qualitative changes in her institution and being felicitated with the award.
In her bid to uplift society and renew the hopes of humanity, Ms. Puri has appointed educators to teach the children of the inmates of the women cell at Central Jail No. 6 at Tihar. She has donated computers for them to be in sync with the modern day education.
She has also initiated valuable programmes like “Operation End Hunger” to feed the hungry and destitute. Besides inculcating noble values among the students who are the flag bearers of tomorrow, her “Green School” programme to save the environment is also a tremendous success. She is indeed an effective agent of change and transformation.

The British Council International School Award 2015-2018
The School was once again successfully accredited with the coveted British Council International School Award 2015-2018 for the second consecutive term. The award was a culmination of the tremendous efforts of the faculty members of the International School Award team. Eight projects approved by the British Council were deftly and competently handled by the teachers and the students during the year, under the guidance and supervision of the Principal, Ms. Anita Puri. These activities required comprehensive analysis and execution. The students had an opportunity to interact via emails and video conferencing with students from schools such as the McNally High School, Canada. The arduous work put in by the ISA Coordinator and the ISA team was lauded by the school founder Ms. Sheila Verma, Manager Ms. Meena Malik and the Principal Ms. Anita Puri. The award was presented at a glittering ceremony held by the British Council at the Hotel Kempinsky Ambience, New Delhi on 8th July, 2015. Mrs. Meena Malik and Mrs. Anita Puri received the award on behalf of the School.

Donation to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Delhi for the Nepal Cause (Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund)
The School, represented by its Founder, Smt. Sheila Verma, Principal Mrs. Anita Puri, Mr. Atul Puri, teachers and a group of students called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Mr. Najeeb Jung at his office to present a Draft of Rs. 500000/- (Rs. Five Lacs) towards its humble contribution to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund, for the recent quake hit people of Nepal. While it was a privilege for us, the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor complimented the Principal for the fine gesture. The Principal briefed him about the school and the role the institution is playing to spread education, particularly, for the weaker sections of the society. She also briefly informed him about the Golden Jubilee year celebrations of the school being held currently. The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor also invited the students for an interactive session in the very near future.

The Indian Association for the Blind has awarded Cambridge Foundation School for its outstanding excellence and commitment towards voluntary contribution for the empowerment of persons with visual challenges.

Scholarship Awarded to Yukta Mehta
Yukta Mehta of Cambridge Foundation School, Rajouri Garden was awarded a Scholarship of Rs.80,000/- per year for 5 years for Higher Education under the Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) for enrolment into education in basic and Natural Science Courses. International Olympiad of Science Olympiad – Outstanding School Award
The School was awarded with the Outstanding School Award for its overall performance in the Level 2 of the International Olympiad of Science by the Society of Science Education. The School Manager Mrs. Meena Malik and Principal Mrs. Anita Puri, accepted the award.

World Environment Day Felicitation – ECO Friendly School Of the Year Award
The School was awarded the “Eco Friendly School of the Year Award” on the occasion of the world environment day at the India International Centre, New Delhi. The theme of the World Environment Congress was “Think, Eat, Save” which is an anti-food waste and food loss campaign. The idea is to purposefully select foods that have less of an environmental impact such as organic foods that do not use chemicals in the production process. Amidst the august gathering, the School Manager Ms. Meena Malik was felicitated with the coveted award by the International Dignitaries.

British Council ISA Award
Cambridge Foundation School,  Rajouri Garden, was accredited with the much coveted British Council International School Award 2012-2015. The award was achieved when the CFS International School Award Team, successfully completed a series of activities, approved by the British Council, over the period of an year. These activities allowed CFS students to interact via email and video conferencing, with students from North Carolina (USA), and Germany. Cambridge Foundation School, was conferred with the School Management Award 2009, on the occasion of the World Management Congress on 31st December 2009, at the India International Centre. The award is for outstanding contribution in the area of Education Planning and School Management. The award has been instituted by the Global Open University, Nagaland and Confederation of Indian Universities, New Delhi.

Principal, Mrs. Anita Puri Receives the Global Human Rights Protection Award 2008
Principal, Mrs. Anita Puri was awarded with the 2008 Global Human Rights Protection Award, at the  10th World Human Right Congress. The ceremony organized by the Indian Institute of Human Rights, on 10th December 2008., on the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of  The Declaration of Human Rights. She received the award from H. E. Mr. Carlos A. Yrigoyen, Acting Ambassador of Peru to India, for her outstanding work in the field of education and activities associated with providing education to under privileged students. The event was event attended by Ambassadors, High Commissioners, United Nations Diplomats, and Human Rights Activists.

CFS Donates Rs.1,50,000/- towards Prime Minister’s Relief Fund
CFS students have made a sincere effort in raising Funds for the Victims of the recent Bihar Floods. The School staff contributed one days salary towards the same. An overall amount of Rs.1,50,000/- was collected. The Principal, Ms. Anita Puri, Manager, Ms. Meena Malik, along with a group students handed over the cheque towards the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Delhi, Sh. Tejendra Khanna, at Rajniwas on 31st October 2008.

Ruchi Gupta, Ex Cambridgean, has done the school proud. She passed out in 1998, and joined St. Stephens College. Later she got admission into IIT Kanpur. Ruchi completed her Doctorate in Philosophy with an Award of Excellence at Stony Brook University, State of New York, USA. She is at present a Post Doctoral Associate at the Rockefeller University, New York.

International Space Centre Design Competition
Ashish Srivastava of XI A
, has made the School proud. He has been selected to represent one of the teams of Asia in the International Space Settlement Design Competition, organised by NASA, USA. He cleared the semi-finals in which there were over 400 competitors from all over the world. The Chairperson, Mrs. Sheila Verma has provided him with a PC and a Broadband Internet Connection,  to assist him in his research and project work.

Ashish Srivastava has been selected as Team Leader of a team of 40 students from all over the world. He is to travel to NASA, USA, to work the Space Settlement Project in 2009.
