About The School

Introduction

Cambridge Foundation School an entire system in itself is on the line of progress over since its inception in 1966. The School is expanding its footprints in various areas with legitimate and ethical measures of success, appropriately aligned to learning.

Aims & Purpose of the Institution

Providing distinct and diverse education in a sheltered and shielded environment is the School’s mission and objective. With the passage of time every scholar’s vertical and horizontal growth has been very conspicuous. It lays its focus on every individual’s comprehensive learning. Aligning its resources to the optimal merit has been its core functioning. Unceasingly the School’s effort has been to instill sound values, self discipline and excellent knowledge. With the perfect approach and purpose CFS lays great emphasis on character building and spiritual qualities.

Recognition and Affiliation
Cambridge Foundation School is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education and recognized by the Directorate of Education, Govt. of National Capital Territory of Delhi.

Curriculum
The School follows the Curriculum as prescribed by the CBSE, and the students are prepared for the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) in the following Streams:


	Science Compulsory Subjects English Physics Chemistry Options 4th Subject Biology Or Computer Science (C++) Or Economics Or Physical Education Options 5th Subject Psychology Or Mathematics Or Physical Education*	Commerce Compulsory Subjects English Accountancy Business Studies Options 4th Subject Mathematics Or Informatics Practices Or Political Science Or Physical Education Options 5th Subject Economics Or Physical Education*	Humanities Compulsory Subjects English Hindi Options 3rd Subject Business Studies Or Psychology Options 4th Subject Political Science Or Physical Education Options 5th Subject Economics Or History Or Physical Education*
	* If not already opted for as 4th Subject

The School Academic Session is from 1st April to 31st March.

Summer Vacation Period is 18th May to 30th June, or as per directions of the Directorate of Education.

The medium of instruction is English.

Hindi is taught as the second language in all the classes.

Sanskrit as the third language from Classes 6th to 8th, and optional language for Classes 9th & 10th.
