In Honourable Memory
Of A Woman Who Could Bring Light in the Dark

Dear Principal,

Humanity is indeed blessed with a Dynamic and Noble Soul donning every life once in a lifetime. Mrs. Sheila Verma was one such rare personality. It is in her memory we at Cambridge Foundation School, an institution par excellence, she founded and nurtured, are organizing a grand Pan India Inter School Competition – the Sheila Verma Memorial Competition 2020 (SVMC) for students, marking her first death anniversary.

Last year, we received immense support from several Delhi schools wherein we had limited participation for only kindergarten children. Befitting her stature, we are widening the scope of events for all students at the National Level. Undoubtedly, it would add tremendous creativity to their spirits and imaginations. The competition will be fierce and children would unleash their full enduring power to conquer the honours.

With focus on integrated learning, the events will be anchored in a particular manner to sensitize the young generation on preserving the rich and momentous legacy of such stalwarts who become legends during their own lifetime. This year, during the unprecedented Covid crisis all events are being held online. It is a huge challenge. Let us, therefore, evolve the activities (competitions) around this spirit and heritage of confronting the challenges – ‘NEVER CALLING IT QUITS’.

It is with pleasure and privilege that I invite the multi-skilled and talented scholars of your esteemed institute to participate in the competitions by demonstrating their abundant attitude and aptitude thus adding fervour to the events. The children would definitely have a feel of a larger than life persona who had no rigidity both in form and content. She was surely an interdisciplinary and multi-faceted personality who could always think out of the box.

Looking ahead for a highly enthusiastic response from your institution.

Warm Regards,

Dr. Anita Puri
Principal
