Lohri & Makar Sankranti Celebrations
The Students of Classes 4 and 5 presented a Special Assembly to celebrate the two harvest festivals, Lohri and Makar Sankranti. The students of Class 4 educated the children about the importance of the celebration with their speech. Following this the students of Class 5 presented a vibrant Gidda and Bhangra performance. They celebrated the day with a lot of exuberance and fanfare and the students were totally absorbed in the festive spirit of Lohri. They sang songs symbolising rich cultural folklore and heritage of India.

Commemorating Dr Martin Luther King Jr.'s 90th Birth Anniversary
India International Centre, Gandhi Yuva Biradri, Working Group on Alternative Strategies and the Confederation of UNESCO Clubs and Associations of India (CUCAI), organized a special programme to commemorate the 90th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., at the India International Centre on 21st January 2019. The programme included songs by various School Choirs. This was followed by an interactive session, along with a short film on Dr. King. The programme was attended by a group of ten students accompanied by Ms. Mansi Gandotra, TGT (Social Science).

CBSE Capacity Building Programme on Gender Senstivity
A Workshop on Capacity Building Programme on Gender Sensitivity in Schools was attended by Ms. Neelam Malhotra on 17.1.19 at the Maharaja Agrasen Model School, Pitampura, organised by the CBSE, Centre Of Excellence. The Resource persons for the workshop were Ms. Neera Kohli and Ms. Ankita. The workshop was about a Gender Sensitive School, Gender Sensitive Pedagogy and Teaching Learning Materials, Gender Sensitive Classroom Environment and Interaction and Gender Sensitive Methodologies.

Mental Health in Classrooms
The Department of Mental Health and Behavioural Sciences, Fortis Hospital organized a seminar on Mental Health in the Classroom on 22nd January 2019, at the India Habitat Centre. The seminar was conducted by Dr. Samir Parikh. Dr. Parikh apprised the attendees of various issues related to stress and Mental Health Management, Life Skills education in context of current scenario challenges and strategies to build emotional awareness and resilience in the classroom among children. The informative seminar was attended by Ms. Shaily Bhagel (School Counsellor).

Celebrating Republic Day
The Nation's 70th Republic Day was celebrated at Cambridge Foundation School with great zeal and enthusiasm. The students of Class 2 presented a small cultural event which started with a small introduction about the importance of the Red Letter Day followed by a melody of songs and a parade showing the glimpse of our three forces i.e., the Army, Navy and the Air Force. There was a rhythmic performance by the students on various patriotic songs. The performance was appreciated and enjoyed by all. The National flag was unfurled by Principal Dr. Anita Puri and Manager Ms. Meena Malik.

Celebrating National Voters' Day
In order to encourage more young voters to take part in the political process, 25th January is celebrated every year as "National Voters' Day" (राष्ट्रीय मतदाता दिवस). All eligible voters attaining the age of 18 years as on 1st January every year in each of the 8.5 lakh polling stations across the country are identified and handed over their Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) on 25th January every year. This exercise gives the youth a sense of empowerment, pride and inspires them to exercise their franchise. The School celebrated the National Voters Day by taking an oath to uphold the rights of being a good citizen and exercising the right to vote for a better future.
